I’ve said it many a time – I love a gift that does more than sit there and look plastic.
I only give gifts that are interactive or educational.
When I saw the Make Your Own Candy Kits from Glee Gum I knew I had found some fantastic holiday fun! There are three different kits; Make Your Own Chocolate, Make Your Own Gummies and Make Your Own Gum.
I am sure you can imagine which one I picked.
The kit comes with everything you need to make 8oz of dark chocolate.
The directions are simple and the kit is designed for children 8 and up but with adult supervision.
And this is where it all went to pot for me.
Remember the Evil Force?
The Evil Force that was in my kitchen?
It left my kitchen thank heavens and I wondered where it went.
It’s in my camera.
Anyone have any instructions for a camera exorcism?
So I have no photos of the making of the chocolate.
I am deeply sorry.
I do have chocolate molds around my little house so I do have photos of the finished pieces.
The camera is still futsy. I would really like the Evil Force to LEAVE MY HOUSE!
Aren’t they pretty?
It is SOOOOOOOO simple.
After the chocolate is all mixed up I poured it into the molds, let them chill and then I popped them out.
At least the stupid Evil Force did not impact the unmolding of the chocolate.
Does anyone want an Evil Force?
Maybe I should do a giveaway for it?
Anywhoo – back to the Make Your Own Chocolate Kit. I wish I was closer to my “kids.” I would have so much fun with them making chocolate, gum and gummies. These kits would make such great gifts no matter the occasion!
