It was an exciting morning here at the Broken Teepee; my new beautiful Caesarstone countertops are now in my kitchen!
The great installation crew from Counter Solutions, from Missoula, arrived and scoped out the yurt. At first we thought bringing the quartz in through the sliding glass doors would be the best way…
…but ultimately the side door ended up being the way to go.
They had to drive their truck all the way around the yurt. Fortunately there was just enough room. They set up their ramp.
And moved in the quartz. It’s called Smokey Ash and it’s recycled which I just love! (They have a whole recycled collection.)
It didn’t take long before they were cleaning up all the dust from fitting it in.
And voila! I have beautiful a beautiful new countertop in my kitchen.
Oh – goodbye fast and friendly Counter Solutions guys!
You really can’t tell from the photos but this product has a lot of depth. There are bits of silver sparkle all throughout. You know I loves me some sparkle!
I really love how it looks on the cherry cabinets and with the red paint.
I am a happy woman today. The hubby is going to build a bookcase here for my cookbooks. And for some other books. I don’t have that many cookbooks….yet.

The only thing that would have made the installation better; if the hubby had been here to share it with me. He is off on a business trip and he had to listen to me babble over the phone.
