My wardrobe is not exactly fancy.
It’s not like I want to wear good clothes in the goat pens.
I’m always catching myself on fencing or wire.
The goats seem to think I am some kind of snack.
So I live in raggedy sweatpants and torn up old sweatshirts.
But every now and then a girl likes to look like a girl.
I was lucky enough to win a brand spankin’ new dress from Fresh Produce in a blog giveaway on Local Sugar Hawaii. While I would have loved to have gone to Hawaii to pick up my prize THAT was not happening.
I have written many a time about how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fresh Produce clothing and my new No Fuss Surplice Dress is no exception. I could have my choice of color and I picked this eye catching cobalt.
It fits perfectly.
I really wanted to get nice photos outside with the gorgeous scenery in the background but our weather this year has simply not cooperated. Right now the yard is a mud pit. Plus the hubby is sick and I didn’t want to drag him out there for picture taking.
What I adore about this dress is how comfortable it is; the rayon/lycra blend makes for a silky feeling material that does not wrinkle. I can roll this into a ball and toss it into my suitcase when I go back East this summer for my nephew and goddaughter’s graduation. I just need to find a nice belt to compliment it. I can easily add a camisole underneath the change the look and a jacket on top.
It looks great from the back too. Don’t mind my hair – I just threw it up so as not to hide the dress.
Of course nothing gets done around here without a cat supervising.
I love the length too – it covers my knees. We all have something we don’t like and for me it’s my knees. Especially now that I’m old. I also now note I am very crooked. I’m like the little old lady that lived in the shoe only I live in a yurt.
It washes beautifully just like all of my clothes from Fresh Produce. I know this dress will last for years and years and years like all of my others. It’s timeless in style so I have no worries that it will look out of date in 6 months. I can express enough how much I love these clothes!
