I am not a mom, y’all know this if you have visited this blog for any length of time. For quite some time though, when my goddaughter was a baby take care of her rather regularly. My work schedule was easier to maneuver than her mother’s so I could get her from daycare for her mom on the days that she had to work late. So I know what it’s like to haul around all of the things an infant needs and deal with carseats.
This post is brought to you by The Mommy Bag. Product was provided at no charge for my honest review.

A Great Diaper Bag AND Backpack
So many of you have a need for this wonderful product. The Mommy Bag IS a great diaper bag. It has a load of great features for moms who need to haul around all of the accouterments that go with taking the baby (babies) on the road.
The creators thought about just about everything when they designed this beauty. It has pockets for bottles, wipes and a special one that rests against your back for your valuables. It has a compartment to hold a laptop.
The Mommy Bag even comes with a washable changing pad!
What’s Inside The Mommy Bag?
There are a myriad of compartments inside The Mommy Bag. I was really impressed with how many little hidey holes I found when I first opened the box. But let’s look at this through the eyes of an old women without kids. Hmmm, where would we find one of them?
I love this product as a backpack. It has places to hold all manner of things a non-mom takes on a day trip or on a longer journey. The pouches for the bottles can hold almost anything – like socks, underwear, water bottles if you are not flying, etc. I love that the inside pockets have the three rows of snaps to adjust the size.
The large, central part of The Mommy Bag has a mesh section where you can put wet clothes or anything you might want to keep separate from everything else. As I noted above, a laptop will fit in very nicely.
The straps are padded and easy to adjust. You can see the zipper for the back section. You can fit a small wallet or whatever you want to keep close.
How Does The Mommy Bag Wear?
I loaded up my Mommy Bag and strapped it on to see how comfortable it was to wear. Let me tell you – it’s very comfortable! The padding is an addition you really don’t find on backpack straps – at least not on the ones I have worn before. It sit very nicely on my body.
Adjusting it was easy as pulling the straps to the tension I wanted. Backpacks are just such a nice way to carry your belongings. You almost don’t know they are there. I can only imagine how convenient this would be for moms with kids.
The Story of the Mommy Bag
The Mommy Bag was introduced on Kickstarter after the success of another Ethan and Emma product – their very popular stroller organizer. The campaign took off and raised far more than originally requested. Obviously people were looking for a new type of diaper bag and this was that bag! The Mommy Bag on Kickstarter has a lot of great videos to watch to show the diaper bag in action.
The bag is made from an easy to clean and very durable nylon. It would make an excellent gift for the mommies or mommies to be on your list this holiday season.
