About the Author:
Tia and Chase are in love. I get that. I am all about the big love. I have an enduring love with my hubby. We have been together for 31 years. I get that there are trials and tribulations in a marriage but this book is a touch over the top even for a novel. The biggest crisis these two suffered together except for some lengthy separations during their courtship was the death of Michael Jackson. Whaaaa?
Reading this book was like being on a constant sugar high; I have nothing against sugar highs but one has to come down sometime. Even the “bad times” were sugary. I fully recognize that I was reading fiction but one’s fiction should either be totally fantasy or have some grounding in reality and this was neither. Although I suppose the lives these two were living WERE totally fantasy ’cause it just doesn’t happen that way. And this is from a woman who fell in love at first sight, got engaged in 6 weeks, married within the year and will celebrate her 30th anniversary in 3 months. So I know about a fiery, all consuming love.
I just couldn’t connect to these two and it had nothing to do with economic station or the like ’cause I have read many a book about the rich and famous and found it engaging. I also didn’t care for the preachy little “instructions” at the end of some of the chapters; the change in voice was most disconcerting.
But if you want a book that showcases two gorgeous, highly successful young people as they get everything they always wanted. Where the President of the United States takes time out of his busy schedule to sit down with the female heroine to counsel her on how to handle a love matter, where the parents all get along and have no issues then this is the book for you! It’s Simple.
