One of my most amazing vacations was to Italy. It was a country I had long wanted to visit and the hubby surprised me for my 39th birthday – don’t ask. I have no clue why the 39th. The year of celebration didn’t matter, the glory of the trip did. We spent a week in Rome and a week in Florence and when I need to escape somewhere in my mind guess where I go? This conversation about traveling to Florence, Italy, is sponsored but all thoughts and opinions are my own. When the hubby and I travel we like to stay in B&Bs. The next time we go to Italy (soon?) we will definitely consider luxury B&Bs in Florence.
Luxury B&Bs in Florence, Italy
Obviously I’m not 39 any more so it’s been a while since the hubby and I made that memorable trip to Italy. Would I like to go back? In a heartbeat! If I get so lucky I’d choose to stay in one of the luxury B&Bs in Florence like the La Dimora del Centro Florence or the La Dimora degli Angeli Florence. Each one has a distinct style but both offer the same awesome amenities.
No matter which one you choose you will find rooms with a homey yet refined atmosphere. You will be welcomed with an air conditioned room and free wifi. Both luxury Florence B&Bs are not far from the train station at Santa Maria Novella.
All rooms also have en suite bathrooms. Satellite TV and a direct dial phone are provided for your convenience or if you want – you can ignore them.
I’ve saved the best for last! Many of the rooms have views of the Duomo. No matter what room you have though, you are within in walking distance of that beautiful cathedral.
The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower – the Duomo
The Duomo is one of the most striking landmarks in the city of Florence if not in all of Italy. It is immediately recognized by most people. This gorgeous building was started in 1296 and completed in 1436 with that glorious dome by Brunelleschi.

The exterior is enough to stop you dead in your tracks. I know this because it stopped me dead in my tracks. The pink, green and white marble – yes marble! – is unbelievable in person. I have not seen a photo yet that does it justice. You will just have to take a trip to see it.
I purposely didn’t source any interior photos because I knew they would only fail to show the magnificence of the cathedral. Trust me when I tell you that it is unforgettable.
Pack Your Bags for Florence
Both La Dimora del Centro Florence and La Dimora degli Angeli Florence are open every day. The B&Bs are located in the Florence city center so that makes them convenient for walking to shops, museums and restaurants, Are you ready to pack your bags? I am! I just need to save my money so I can go back to this beautiful city.
La Dimora Del Centro Florence and La Dimora degli Angeli Florence welcome you in style for your vacation to Italy. What would you most like to see in Florence?
