I must admit when I saw Dizolve Laundry Detergent Strips. I was very intrigued. The company has a tagline on their site – Clean, Green and Simple – you have to love that! In a world where we toss endless plastic jugs and containers from laundry soap into the landfill I received this in the mail:
this small cardboard (recyclable) package will wash 72 loads. A big difference from other products I have tried. But will it clean the way I am used to my clothes being cleaned? The only way to find out is to try it, so I did. It’s very easy to use.
You pull a big strip out of the box and rip off one of the four that comprise the whole. It has an odd texture and you want to keep it in a dry place.
You toss it in your washing machine BEFORE you add your dirty clothes. Dizolve can be used in HE machines like mine and regular washing machines. I use a warm water wash and a cold water rinse. The company’s website indicates that the product will work equally as well in all cold water.
Then in go the clothes and you run the load as you normally would. Could it get any easier? I do not think so.
I really gave the Dizolve a test on its first load; that dirty laundry is full of hubby’s gardening clothes. It also holds a shirt he asked me to pre-treat because he got grass stains on it and it was one of his favorite t-shirts
::side rant – why do men persist in wearing favorite t-shirts to do work in which they know they will do what could be irreversible damage to said favorite shirt? Can someone answer that for me?::
Sorry, I feel better now, though.
I am beyond happy to report that EVERYTHING in the load, including that shirt – which I DID NOT pre-treat came out clean and bright. Go Dizolve! The product puts no fragrance into the clothes so they maintained the delightful smell of sunshine and wind from having been dried on the line.
Here is a bit of info direct from the company:
- Hypoallergenic for sensitive skin
- Free of 1,4-dioxane
- Safe for septics
Heaven knows I want to keep my septic system happy! I have lived through an unhappy system and it is NOT pretty.
You can purchase Dizolve right now and received two for one and free shipping. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sierra Club of Canada. (as of 9/5/13 – can change at any time)
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
