The Farm cats have been napping working hard around here lately. It’s been pretty miserable on the weather front so they haven’t been going out much so Harry the Farm cat hasn’t been doing much hunting. He has been doing a fair amount of lolling about.
He is an expert loll-er. All I have to note is that it is a good thing he is cute. He does do an excellent job in the garden when he does go out and hunt but he doesn’t like to sit out there when it’s raining or cold.
He’s a bit of a prima catta. He makes me laugh though – his new favorite place to sleep is the bathtub. I have put a towel in there for him and if I can’t find him I just have to peak in between the shower curtains and there he is. It’s better than his old favorite spot, my sweater drawer. At least there is now less cat hair on my clothing. Well, moderately less….
Stinky the Farm cat is the old lady of the Farm – as long as you don’t consider me! She does surprise me now and then by getting a wild hair but she does sleep a lot these days. What is unusual is her new napping spot…
…she has taken to using the Cattino! That had been totally Harry’s spot but I have found Stinky there more often than not. She still uses her heated cat pad in the cool of the mornings but later in the day I’ll find her quietly watching her world go by on the top of the Cattino.
She looks a touch indignant in this photo. I think she was getting tired of the camera. I left her to her napping after this. It’s a rough life for a Farm cat.
Pumpkin is silly kitty. I don’t tend to see much of him during the day. He is always the first one at the food bowls in the morning but then POOF he’s gone. Where does he go? Could be under the bed, could be in the basement, could be under the bathtub – who knows. As soon as the weather warms up he’ll head outside for the bulk of the day and only come in at night.
I was lucky to catch him on the bed. He does love to be pet and he rolled over so I could rub his belly. And then he bit me. That’s Pumpkin!
But he did stick around long enough for me to get some new photos. He usually runs as soon as he sees the camera. I am just not sure what his life was like before he found me. I think that always impacts a cat’s way of dealing with it’s humans.
Sherpa has been a little feisty lately. I think because he hasn’t been going out due to the weather. He’s been attacking Harry which isn’t very nice. When I call him on it he sits in his chair and ….
….gives me cattitude. Then he just goes about his business. He might ignore me completely or he might give himself a bath.
Sherpa is Sherpa and that is what makes him so lovable. He sits with me everyday as I try to type and he is the first cat to know when I don’t feel well and he sits on me to make me feel better.
So that is a bit of a round up of Farm cat activities for the recent past. Of course it’s really just an excuse for me to share photos of them. They are all very pretty/handsome in their own way.
