The Focus on Life photo challenge rolls on with the last prompt for January – our month of minimalism. This week we were given Word(s) from our fearless leader Sally at The Studio Sublime.
I read that and my head burst into song:
Words! Words! I’m so sick of words!
I get words all day through;
First from him, now from you! Is that all you blighters can do?*
remembering Eliza Doolittle’s outburst to Freddie while singing Show Me in My Fair Lady. For me, though words are not sung but rather read. I am a reader. I have been since I learned the magic of reading. So, I give you part of my To Read shelf for my coming book reviews on the blog. I’m getting more and more in e-format.
And then there are the “I’ll get to them when I have spare reading time” shelves. This shows two of six.
I do love books.
Having them and their words around is a comfort to me.
Knowing I have all those worlds awaiting exploration makes me happy.
Words, lots and lots of words.
Be sure to check out everyone else’s Word(s) this week:
