I have long been fond of suede. I know it goes in and out of favor with fashionistas but I just like it. It’s funny that leather never goes out of style but somehow suede does. This season it seems that it is back and in a big way. I currently don’t have any pieces in my wardrobe so when given the chance to do some online thrift shopping at a new site I found a great suede jacket to add to my closet.
As to this suede jacket. It came with a pair of pants. Looking at the photo on the site I thought the pants were plain. They arrived and they are laser cut at the bottom with a pattern. If I had known that I probably would not have bought the suit. But at least I can use this lovely jacket.
I am very happy with the jacket. I adore the color and the fit. I wore it today with a mint green camisole and slim khaki pants. A simple pair of ballet flats and I’m ready to go. I just pulled my hair back into a low pony tail and put on a pair of plumeria earrings and I was ready for lunch or even a casual job interview if I were looking for a job.
I love how the jacket ties in the front instead of buttons. It makes it a little bit special. The slight bell on the sleeves is very pretty. The length is perfect. The lapels are probably a bit out of date but I like them so I don’t care. The color is perfection. It’s still very cool here in Montana in the spring so having a jacket with a little weight is a good thing. It would also look great on jeans or a skirt.
Of course getting this done was not simple. Sherpa the Farm cat decided to “help.” I can’t do anything around here without some kind of assistance from the cats.
Although it does show how nicely peach or light orange would look with the jacket. So I guess he did help. Silly cat!
