Last month the very nice people at BlogPaws had a photo contest and the publicist sent in two pictures as entries; one of me – Sherpa – and one of AbbyGoat. Well she got some good news! The photo of AbbyGoat was one of the winners – there were three. Isn’t that exciting! This is the photo that won:
Of course it shows AbbyGoat eating. It’s what she is usually doing. When she is not butting people, things or cats. I don’t really care because the prize she won arrived and guess what? It wasn’t a goat prize! It was a cat prize! Only I didn’t know that at first. I am, of course a very
cautious curious cat.
This strange orange thing appeared on our cat tree. I didn’t know at first where it came from. Did it drop from the sky? Did Harry the Farm cat put it there to wrap me up and throw me away? Who knows? I was not going to let my fear stop me though – I am a Farm cat after all. I go forth and explore!
Even if I am in the yurt. So I made a mighty leap. Right on to that unknown orange thing. Aren’t I brave?
Turns out it was a very nice blanket from Romy and Jacob. It is very, very soft. Almost as soft as me.
I gave it a very thorough inspection. I would not be a good Farm cat if I didn’t make sure this wasn’t a killer blanket now would I? I am happy to report that this new blanket passed all my tests; it is soft, it smells good and it was made in a sweatshop free environment. It was made in Canada by people who love animals – mostly dogs but I will have to work on them.
I approve of
my AbbyGoat’s prize. I am very sorry – not really – that it is not something that AbbyGoat could use. I am going to take a nap now. That was very hard work. Abby and I thank BlogPaws for having the photo contest and for choosing AbbyGoat’s photo as the winner.
