Can I hear a Yee Haw?!
Hey, I live in Montana, what do you want?
The hubby has been a busy, busy man with the water works lately. I could say “when it rains, it pours” but…..
Before he decided to build this yurt he had no plumbing experience what so ever. Now he has some.
For the bathroom he installed my lovely American Standard FloWise™ Bath/Shower Trim Kit – otherwise known as my showerhead and faucet. Now my trim kit came with a showerhead but the great folks at American Standard knowing that I live in an area of the country where water conservation is important AND knowing that we are an eco-friendly family also sent us the uber-cool FloWise™ 3 Transitional Function Water Saving Showerhead (say that 10 times fast – I dare you!)
You can learn all about having a Responsible Bathroom yourself! That’s right. Even if water is plentiful in your part of the country that doesn’t mean it should be wasted. Go HERE to learn what you can do to save water by making your home water friendly with tips from American Standard.
OK – I’m off my soapbox now.
You can check out all of the cool functions and info on my new showerhead HERE.
The hubby is getting so good at this stuff I’m thinking I might just hire him out – JUST KIDDING!
He started with the tub faucet part thingie – I know, I know!
I shouldn’t get so technical but I can’t help myself.
He cut off the copper stop (?) left by the plumber.
He caulked the spigot.
A little caulk goes a long way. I know this. Don’t ask how.
On goes the spigot
Tightened up – those little allen wrenches are vey handy things!
He then put on the hot/cold lever
The showerhead went on just as easily.
He took out the placeholder thingie the plumber left.
Then put some special tape stuff on the showerhead tube
In it went but he need to apply
a little leverage
Isn’t it pretty?
Then I did my bit by filling the tub with nice hot water. I got in and
luxuriated worked hard caulking all around. The hubby said I should have photos of said hard work. I said I was not going to scare my readers away with naked photos of me caulking the tub.
I can’t wait to try my new FloWise™ Showerhead! We have to order a shower rod and then I have to find a nice shower curtain before that can happen but I love my bubble tub and the faucet works great!
