There is now a working toilet in the yurt!
Woo hoo for that.
The hubby – who is definitely not a plumber. If fact this is the first time he has installed a toilet.
This just goes to show that anyone can do it!
We started with our American Standard FloWise Toilet. As I have mentioned we live in an area of the country where water conservation is important so we wanted a toilet that used less water and this one fit that bill. In fact it is certified in the EPA WaterSense Program.
Hubby took it out of the box – VERY important first step.
Then he checks out the fitting in the floor.
Yay – nothing fell in!
A little caulk goes a long way. (I learned this when I caulked the tub. No further comment will be forthcoming)
The toilet gets seated!
Wasn’t that easy?
Next up! The toilet tank.
He sets it on the toilet.
Then checks the instructions – CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! A MAN THAT ACTUALLY READS THE INSTRUCTIONS. And he’s mine, all mine! (But he does not ask for directions – he can’t be perfect you know.)
This toilet has a Speed Connect between the toilet and tank and it made it easy for the hubby to connect the two pieces.
Then he turned on the water valve…..
…did it work?
YES! Look -water!
Doesn’t it look happy sitting in its little space?
So now I am one step closer to getting into the yurt. The tub is working too but that is a post for another day.
Disclosure: I received a FloWise toilet gratis from American Standard. Any opinions expressed are my honest opinion and were not impacted by the receipt of my free toilet. I received no monetary compensation for this post.
